Meet
Hatch & Heide
We know that people don’t change through more information. We are here to transform how people expose the blocks. Insight can be fleeting, change sticks.
Austin Hatch
I’m a therapist and co-founder of Unmasking Shame™.
I see the things people have spent years avoiding, and I help them name it and lean into the uncomfortable, messy places they’ve kept tucked away and out of reach.
I’m direct. I’ll challenge you. If something doesn’t add up, we’re going to stop and look at it. And I’m not here to tear you down, I bring the same level of compassion as I do honesty, because you need both for this work to actually go somewhere.
Most people don’t struggle because they don’t care. They struggle because when things get uncomfortable, they avoid, deflect, or try to stay in control.
That’s the work—exposing those moments in real time and choosing something different.
If you’re ready for that, there’s a place for you here.
Heather Heide
I’m a therapist by trade, and an educator and founder at heart. I’ve spent over 15 years working in trauma, betrayal, and addictions. I co-founded Unmasking Shame™ to bring all of my experience to life, especially where I see people get into the most trouble: running from shame or convinced it’s the enemy.
I hold a lot of roles, and beyond the therapy room, you’ll find me teaching, supervising clinicians, and creating spaces that prioritize depth and real, transformational change.
My work is known for its precision and the way I show up—deeply attuned and not afraid to challenge what’s right in front of me. I bring clarity, honesty, and a grounded presence to the moments most people want to avoid. A lot of people say I see them quickly. For some, that can feel a little wild, but when you’re ready, it feels like magic.
If you’re ready to move beyond surface-level change, this is the work.
